Job summary

Baptist Health’s Perinatal Diagnostic Center in Lexington, KY, is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist-Perinatal for full-time, first shift. The role involves advanced obstetric imaging,超低頻度專業操作 and collaboration with radiologists and clinicians.

The position requires ARDMS certification (or eligible) and completion of an accredited sonography program, with CPR/BLS. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in sonography or equivalent required.
• ARDMS certification or eligible; must obtain ARDMS Abdomen and OB-Gyn within one year of hire.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers; BLS certification required within 30 days of hire if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Perinatal sonographer provides ultrasound imaging to assist licensed practitioners in diagnosis and treatment.
• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment, ensure infection control and patient safety.
• Review orders and patient history; support clinical information with labs and previous ultrasounds.
• Perform high-quality fetal anatomy surveys, fetal echo with measurements and Dopplers; nuchal translucency and growth assessments.
• Assist licensed practitioners in procedures (amniocentesis, CVS) and document timeouts.
• Maintain ALARA, monitor MI and TI, and adjust equipment for optimal imaging.
• Operate ultrasound machines for technically challenging patients, including high BMI cases.
• Document incidents in patient records and verify PACS/Viewpoint images.
• Communicate with patients and families with empathy in anxious settings.

Education

Associate degree

Satisfactory completion of an accredited education program in sonography or equivalent
