Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY seeks an Ultrasound Technologist-Perinatal PRN I for first shift at the Perinatal Diagnostic Center. Qualifications

• Associate degree in sonography or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of accredited sonography program.
• Current ARDMS certification or eligible; must obtain Abdomen and OB-Gyn certifications.
• If not certified on hire, certifications due within 1 year.
• CPR for Healthcare Providers; BLS certification required within 30 days if not already obtained.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized obstetric and fetal ultrasound imaging.
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment; ensure infection control and patient safety.
• Review orders and patient history; verify patient identity.
• Produce high-quality fetal anatomical surveys and Doppler assessments.
• Assist licensed practitioners in ultrasound-guided procedures (e.g., amniocentesis, CVS).
• Maintain ALARA principles and monitor MI/TI during exams.
• Document findings in EHR and PACS/Viewpoint; communicate results clearly to patients.

Accredited education program in sonography
