Job Summary
Performs ultrasound and diagnostic procedures on high-risk obstetrical patients while adhering to all organizational and unit based policies and procedures as well as adhering to the patient schedule in a timely manner. He/She is competent to provide care for a patient population from adolescents to adults.
Essential Functions
Performs ultrasound examinations of prenatal patients following the protocol established by the Medical Director of the Maternal Fetal Medicine department and national guidelines including:

Provides Education and maintains ultrasound equipment including:
Performs other duties as assigned.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an AIUM approved ultrasound program.
AND
Experience: 1+ years' perinatal/obstetrical ultrasound experience. Amnio and CVS experience preferred. Previous experience working in an antenatal testing center setting a plus.
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:
Current RDMS with an OB/GYN specialty or eligible (eligible candidates must obtain the OB/GYN specialty within 6 months of hire and maintain certification thereafter). NT and cervical length certification preferred (eligible candidates must obtain certification within 6 months of hire and maintain certification thereafter). Fetal echo certification preferred (eligible candidates must obtain certification within 1 year of hire and maintain certification thereafter).
Additional Information
EMR experience preferred. Computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and related skills and professional interaction with multiple allied healthcare professionals.
