Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Ultrasound Technologist to perform comprehensive non-invasive, invasive and vascular imaging, under investigation of OB/GYN anatomy. You will provide physiologic assessment of OB/GYN vasculature and fetal well-being, and independently deliver technically optimal images for high-risk pregnancies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved school of ultrasound.
• 2 years OB/GYN experience preferred.
• Good skills in OB/GYN and pelvic ultrasound exams.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive OB/GYN ultrasound procedures.
• Assess OB/GYN vasculature and fetal status.
• Document patient history and findings; inform physician.
• Assist with invasive procedures (amniocentesis, sonohysterograms, etc.).
• Review patient history and summarize findings for Perinatal network.
• Ensure proper labeling of images and patient IDs.
• Operate ultrasound equipment; adjust technical factors as needed.
• Maintain safety and infection control in the department.
