Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Perinatal Safety Specialist RN to lead perinatal safety and quality initiatives, promoting adherence to standards and guiding education programs. The successful candidate will bring a BSN, WA RN license, and 5+ years of Women’s Services experience, plus demonstrated project and quality improvement

Qualifications

• BSN required with 5+ years in Women's Services.
• 2+ years in perinatal safety improvement projects.
• Experience with quality improvement techniques and project management.
• WA RN license and required certifications (BLS, NRP).

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and oversight of perinatal safety initiatives.
• Promote adherence to national clinical standards and safety principles.
• Conduct safety rounds and contribute to quality improvement.
• Develop education plans and disseminate safety information.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant care for mothers and babies.
• Serve as patient safety advocate and role model.
