Division/Program Summary

The Bureau of Children, Youth, Families & Developmental Disabilities (CYF-DD) oversees NYC's network of child and adolescent mental health services, emphasizing research, surveillance, health equity, and family-driven care. It includes the NYC Perinatal and Early Childhood Mental Health (P+ECMH) Network and collaborates with programs like the New Family Home Visits and Citywide Doula Initiative.

Position Summary

The Program Operations Lead will support the expansion of perinatal mental health services, focusing on program development, data management, stakeholder collaboration, and capacity building to improve behavioral health services for pregnant and parenting caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Program Operations, Data & Evaluation: Use evaluation frameworks, oversee data reporting, collaborate with agencies, and synthesize findings for program improvement.
  2. Training & Capacity Building: Support training initiatives, refine training materials, and provide technical assistance to providers.
  3. Program Strategy & Service Expansion: Lead service expansion efforts, integrate SUD treatment, and align with organizational goals and policies.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Build relationships, support referral pathways, act as liaison, and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
  5. Research & Best Practices: Conduct literature reviews, develop manuals, advise policy teams, and monitor program adherence.
  6. Supervision & Additional Duties: Supervise staff if applicable and perform other assigned duties.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with community mental health, public health, and maternal/child health systems.
  • Knowledge of perinatal and early childhood mental health.
  • Skills in program evaluation, data management, and quality improvement.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care, health equity, and resilience approaches.
  • Strong organizational, research, and data skills, including proficiency in relevant software.
  • Ability to build partnerships and incorporate racial equity principles.
  • Supervisory experience (preferred).
