Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan invites applications for a Perianesthesia RN Residency. The program blends clinical and didactic training, with computer-based modules, skills labs, simulations, EKG training, and critical-care case studies to build confidence in perianesthesia care.

Perianesthesia RN Residency

What does the program include?

Our program includes a combination of clinical and didactic training. New residents will participate in computer-based training, skills labs and simulations, EKG training, critical care/trauma case studies, and numerous clinical and critical-thinking experiences. Residents will have the opportunity to strengthen their clinical skills, sharpen their nursing judgment, and organize care for the perianesthesia patient population. They will work with the most up-to-date equipment and use Evidence-Based Practice.

Qualifications

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice nursing in the State of Michigan. Nursing Baccalaureate Degree preferred.

Experience caring for adult surgical patients within the last 3 years preferred.

Recent Critical care experience or PACU experience strongly desired.
