Job summary

MyMichigan Medical Group is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide basic patient care in assigned areas. You will assist with physician-ordered treatments under RN supervision and support personal care and daily living activities.

The role requires critical thinking, ability to work under pressure, and adherence to PPE and bloodborne pathogen protocols. Strong routine and communication with nursing staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious material; follow PPE and TB testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned.
