Job summary

Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia is seeking a dedicated Perfusionist to join the Department of Perfusion at Penn Medicine. You will work alongside top clinicians at a leading academic medical center.

Under the direction of the Perfusion Director, responsibilities include CPB, IABP, ECMO, VAD, autologous blood processing, rapid infusion, and related perfusion duties, with emphasis on safe, compliant patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Perfusion required or Bachelor's degree in a science related field and Certificate of completion from an accredited Perfusion program required before hire date
• PA State Licensed and certification as a perfusionist by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) required or eligible to take the ABCP exams (required)

Responsibilities

• Providing patient care within the scope of perfusion services
• Performing CPB, IABP, Autologous Blood Processing, CPS, ECMO, VAD, and related techniques
• Ensuring perfusion care meets Joint Commission, State Health Dept, and regulatory standards
• Working with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Evaluating new techniques and assisting with implementation of clinical programs
• Evaluating new equipment for clinical applications
