Job summary

Amsect in Milwaukee, WI is expanding its team of perfusionists from 17 to 19, with most cases at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee and opportunities at our sister hospital Aurora Grafton Medical Center.

The team handles CABGs, valves, heart transplants, TAVRs, HIPEC and ECMO, using Terumo System 1 and related equipment. Requires Wisconsin perfusionist license and CCP certification; offers a sign-on bonus and extra pay for weekend call work.

Qualifications

• Wisconsin perfusionist license required.
• Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide perfusion services for CABGs, valve surgeries, heart transplants, TAVRs, HIPEC and ECMO.
• Support procedures at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center and sister hospital Aurora Grafton Medical Center.

Job description

We are a team of 17 perfusionists that provide services to 7 surgeons and we are looking to expand our team to 19. The majority of our cases are performed at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. Our Team also supports procedures at our sister hospital Aurora Grafton Medical Center.

Our procedures include CABGs, Valves, Heart Transplants, TAVRs, HIPEC, Angiovac, and ECMO. Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center is one of the clinical sites for the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Masters in Perfusion Program.

Our Team of Perfusionists Utilize:

• Terumo System 1 with the FX Oxygenator
• Quest Myocardial Protection System with micro-cardioplegia and Del Nido cardioplegia
• Medtronic Autolog cell savers
• TEG 6s
• 35 ECMO cases per year on average

Requirements

• Perfusionist license issued by the state of Wisconsin
• Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) certification issued by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP)
