Job summary

A technology services company in Richardson, Texas, is looking for a skilled Test Engineer to execute functional test procedures and report on execution results. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience with LoadRunner and/or Performance Center, monitoring tools, UNIX/Linux, and SQL. This position requires coordination with Development and Infra teams to ensure high-quality standards are met. Strong analytical skills and experience in test scenario design are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience with LoadRunner and/or Performance Center.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Wily Introscope and Sitescope.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of SQL.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional/NF test procedures and report on test execution.
• Document outcomes of test executions for accuracy and reporting.
• Analyze discrepancies to determine root causes.
• Coordinate with Development and Infra teams on issue resolution.
• Evaluate system behavior versus expected results and propose improvements.
• Contribute to test scenario design and perform peer reviews.
• Assess test exit criteria for potential additional tests.
• Participate in internal design reviews of testing materials.

Job description

• Executes functional/ NF test procedures and/ or scripts either manually or by automated tools. Tracks and reports on the test execution in a timely manner with attention given to achieving a high level of quality.
• Gathers and documents the outcome of test executions and all information needed to support ongoing measurements and reporting on risks, defects, tests, and coverage. Ensures that data is accurate, timely and objective.
• Reports discrepancies and analyzes them to determine the root causes. Evaluates script failures at a high level.
• Coordinates with Development and Infra teams/peers on the resolution of issues, overseeing the testing progress and ensuring that high standards of quality are being met.
• Compares and analyzes system behavior vs. expected results/KPIs based on business and technical requirements. Identifies issues, proposes system improvements and performs repetitive test execution to resolve identified issues.
• Contributes to the design of test scenarios and performs peer reviews of test cases.
• Evaluates test exit criteria to assess if additional tests are required or if test scenarios need to be adjusted.
• Participates in and contributes to internal design reviews of testing materials.

At least 3 years of experience with the following:

• UNIX/Linux experience (such as HP / IBM platforms)
• SQL knowledge
