Job summary

Inherent Technologies in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Performance Tester to design and lead performance testing across applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms.

You will develop and execute load, stress, endurance, scalability, volume, and capacity tests; integrate testing into CI/CD; and analyze performance to drive improvements using tools such as Apache JMeter, Dynatrace, Datadog, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Experience in performance testing/engineering with JMeter.
• Experience with enterprise-scale performance validation.
• Preferred: leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or high-volume transaction systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead performance testing strategy, frameworks, standards, and best practices across applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms.
• Develop and execute load, stress, endurance, scalability, volume, and capacity testing to ensure application reliability and performance.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous performance monitoring and optimization.
• Analyze application, database, infrastructure, and network performance to identify bottlenecks and drive performance improvements.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, or AppDynamics.
• Strong knowledge of Performance Engineering, Capacity Planning, SRE, Root Cause Analysis, and Performance Tuning in distributed and cloud-native environments.
