Job summary

Inherent Technologies in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Performance Tester to design and lead performance testing across applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Apache JMeter, strong leadership, and the ability to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, plus hands-on work with Azure/AWS/GCP, Docker/Kubernetes, and observability tools.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and lead performance testing strategy, frameworks, standards.
• Develop and execute load, stress, endurance, scalability, capacity tests.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD and monitor performance.
• Analyze application, database, infrastructure, and network performance to identify bottlenecks.
• Leverage cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability tools.
• Apply Performance Engineering, Capacity Planning, SRE, and Root Cause Analysis in cloud-native environments.

Position: Performance Tester

Location: Raritan, NJ *HYBRID *

Duration: 1 Year

Must have skills:

Experience in Performance Testing/Engineering, with strong expertise in Apache JMeter and enterprise-scale performance validation.
Preferred skills Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills; experience in Banking, Financial Services, or high-volume transaction systems is preferred.

Job Description:

Design and lead performance testing strategy, frameworks, standards, and best practices across applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms.
Develop and execute load, stress, endurance, scalability, volume, and capacity testing to ensure application reliability and performance.
Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous performance monitoring and optimization.
Analyze application, database, infrastructure, and network performance to identify bottlenecks and drive performance improvements.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, or AppDynamics.
Strong knowledge of Performance Engineering, Capacity Planning, SRE, Root Cause Analysis, and Performance Tuning in distributed and cloud-native environments.
