Job summary

Sportsmith is seeking an analytical professional to assist with performance science initiatives, data collection, and integration across the Rays organization. You will collaborate with teams in performance science, sports medicine, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and scouting to drive athlete evaluation and well-being insights.

The role involves evaluating injury risk, contributing to decision analysis, and exploring innovative performance technologies to add value to the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation and maintenance of performance science, performance, nutritional, and sports medicine research initiatives across the Rays organization.
• Data collection and analyses of performance science data sources for player evaluation, injury risk assessment, athlete well-being assessment, decision analysis, etc.
• Interact and communicate with a diverse team across performance science, sports medicine, nutrition, strength and conditioning, player development, front office, and scouting.
• Explore new performance science technologies that may provide novel, impactful value to the organization.
• Assist with data integration into current databases of performance science data sources.
• Support daily duties across performance science, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and athletic training as applicable.
