Job summary

Elevation Health seeks a Performance & Recovery Specialist to work on the mountain with ski instructors and staff to promote health, performance, and injury prevention through movement evaluation and on-site care.

This role focuses on one-on-one guidance, education, and timely care during the season, with no client recruitment and fully employer-sponsored services. On-site, part-time schedule of 8–10 hours per week, starting at $40/hour.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid professional license in the respective field.
• Current professional liability insurance is required.
• CPR/AED certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate movement patterns and provide proactive care in a one-on-one setting.
• Promote health, job performance, and injury prevention for resort staff.
• Provide educational sessions as requested by the resort.
• Complete charts for one-on-one sessions and uphold emergency protocols.
• Attend events to introduce and promote the wellness program.

Performance & Recovery Specialist

Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced and energetic Performance & Recovery Specialist (PRS) to join our team on the mountain, working directly with ski instructors, ski patrol, and staff to promote health, job performance, and injury prevention. This hands‑on role focuses on evaluating movement patterns, providing proactive care, and offering on‑the‑spot guidance in a one‑on‑one setting to keep our team safe and strong throughout the season. It's an exciting opportunity to combine your expertise working with clients with your love of the mountain environment!

This position provides safe and effective training and instruction with excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to motivate others. The role delivers up‑to‑date quality training and compassionate care to ski resort employees in order to optimize job performance, longevity, and satisfaction. Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards.

There is no client recruitment required, as staff members are eager to register for appointments and will value your expertise. Additionally, all services are fully employer-sponsored, removing the need to manage insurance or billing.

Location

Snowshoe, West Virginia (Snowshoe Ski Resort)

Hours and Pay

Eight to ten hours per week throughout the ski season (November through April). Two to three days per week, for approximately three hours each day. Starting at $40/hour.

Other Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide educational sessions as requested by the resort.
• Attend events to introduce and promote the wellness program.
• Complete charts for one‑on‑one sessions.
• Uphold emergency protocols.
• Complete monthly timesheets.
• Attend and participate in company meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

• DPT/MPT in Physical Therapy, MS in Athletic Training, or Licensed Massage Therapist
• Current license in corresponding profession (Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, or Massage Therapy)
• Current professional liability insurance
• Current CPR/AED certification

Salary: $40.00 Annually
