Hoop is seeking an inaugural Performance Marketing & Social Creative Lead in New York to drive growth. You will help build Hoop's marketing playbook, own customer acquisition across key social platforms, and partner directly with the founder to uncover what messaging resonates and which channels deserve investment.
Responsibilities include developing platform-native creative concepts, producing briefs and assets, and running structured experiments to rapidly learn what works and scale successful
Shopping secondhand today is broken. Finding great pieces takes too much searching. Selling them takes too much work. Millions of high-quality items sit unworn in closets because listing them is tedious and discovering them is even harder.
Hoop is building resale 3.0. We automatically turn purchase history and photos into clean, structured closets that are ready to shop and sell instantly.
We’ve already built the supply side of the marketplace, capturing more than 35,000 items from real closets. Now we’re solving the next challenge: figuring out who our customer is, what makes them care, and how to consistently acquire them.
That’s where you come in. This is a true 0→1, high-ownership role focused on finding and scaling the channels, creative, and audiences that define Hoop’s next chapter
We’re looking for our first Performance Marketing & Social Creative Lead.
This isn’t a traditional performance marketing role where you’ll inherit an existing playbook and optimize campaigns. We’re still building the playbook.
Your job is to help us discover how Hoop grows.
You’ll work directly with the founder to determine which customer messages resonate, what creative formats work, which acquisition channels deserve investment, and how we turn those learnings into a repeatable growth engine.
You’ll own paid social across Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok, but success won’t be measured by how many campaigns you launch. Success will be measured by how quickly we learn what works—and how effectively we turn those learnings into customer growth.
You’ll be one of the earliest marketing hires at a company navigating a real pivot. Your work will directly shape who Hoop’s customer turns out to be. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to build a growth function from the ground up, not inherit an existing playbook.
Today, resale is a second job: photographing, listing, pricing, and logistics. Because of that friction, $70B in quality inventory remains trapped in closets.
Hoop removes that friction. Our core product automatically turns your purchase history and photos into a digital closet, and we’ve already captured and cross-listed 35K+ items from real closets. We recently launched our shopping product; now the focus is getting that supply to sell.
Hoop is led by Kelsey Albright (ex-Stanford GSB, ex-Rebag, ex-Archive), with deep experience in resale economics and consumer behavior, and is backed by world-class investor
