Job summary

Cenegenics is seeking a Performance Health Coach for 100% in-person work. You will educate members on nutrition and exercise, perform health assessments, and collaborate with physicians to tailor personalized plans.

The role focuses on patient retention and delivering Cenegenics’ comprehensive wellness memberships. Requirements include a relevant bachelor’s degree, CPR/AED/First Aid, and at least five years in health coaching or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Exercise Science, Physiology, Biochemistry, Health Science, Kinesiology or related field or equivalent experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification required.
• ACSM certification preferred.
• At least five years of health-related teaching or coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lifestyle recommendation summaries from health questionnaires and labs.
• Educate on nutraceuticals and supplement use based on goals and labs.
• Assess eating habits and educate on Cenegenics nutrition protocols.
• Conduct fitness assessments including body comp, cardio, strength, flexibility, balance, core.
• Educate on weight training and cardio, align with medical management program.
• Maintain communication with physician on program development and implementation.
• Prepare program recommendations and assist with close processes.
• Conduct regular follow-ups and respond to nutrition/exercise questions.

About the Role (100% In-person, Monday-Friday)

As a Performance Health Coach, you are responsible for educating our members on proper nutrition and exercise regimens based on individual health and lifestyle assessments, current laboratory findings, and results of on-site diagnostic studies. Upselling, enthusiasm, ambition play a critical role for this position to increase member acquisition and retain the current patient base. This position is a key driver to member satisfaction. Key responsibilities include managing patient interactions via various communication methods including health coach application, SMS messaging systems and video conferencing to provide health, nutrition and exercise consultations and support for our growing patient base. This role will be a clinical liaison working with the physician and patients on our comprehensive healthcare memberships. The Performance Health Coach will complete initial consultations with each patient revising the patient’s intake forms to create a custom approach to their dietary and exercise regimen. The Performance Health Coach will assist the onsite team members with respects to the Performance Health Assessment, ongoing retention management, and center-related initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Prepare summary sheet of lifestyle recommendations based on health & lifestyle questionnaire and labs, addressing any key concerns
• Educate members on the importance of nutraceuticals and recommend supplementation based on their personal goals, health history, and lab results
• Assess current eating habits and educate members on proper nutrition based on Cenegenics recommendations and protocols
• Conduct fitness assessments to include body composition, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, balance/posture and core strength
• Educate members on the importance of weight training, cardiovascular activities, flexibility and balance. Design/refine their current program to coincide with medical management program
• Maintain open communication with physician regarding development and implementation of member programs
• Prepare program recommendations for close processes
• Conduct regular follow up consultations and respond to email questions regarding nutrition/exercise
• Use the Member Retention protocols daily as a Performance Health Coach
• Offer members additional Cenegenics services and products to enhance member retention i.e. friends and family referrals
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Exercise Science, Physiology, Biochemistry, Health Science, Kinesiology or related field or equivalent experience
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
• American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certification preferred
• At least five years of health-related teaching or coaching experience as a Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor, Coach, or Nutrition Counselor
• Track record of managing cross functional projects or patient bases to implement heath programs
• Passionate about longevity, healthy aging, healthcare and committed to personal self-care, healthy lifestyle, and personal growth
• A relationship builder with high EQ and collaboration skills that allow you to be effective at influencing a variety of stakeholders, including physicians
• A communicator, motivating health coach with exceptional clinical knowledge in the health and wellness space especially with regard to HIPAA, proper supplementation and in nutrition and exercise consultations
• Demonstrate a self-starter mentality with a roll of your sleeves and get things done, making tangible impacts to our collective success (nothing is beneath you)
• Relentlessly focused on optimization (entrepreneurial spirit), reaching our goals
• Must possess judgment, strong work ethic, professionalism, and integrity
