Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Financial Analyst, Performance Management to support forecasting, reporting, and analytics for the NRG Business segment. The role collaborates with Sales, Operations, FP&A, and Strategy to translate data into actionable insights in a fast-paced environment.

The position emphasizes presenting complex analyses clearly to leadership and may involve high-visibility projects with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or similar field.
2–4 years of relevant financial, analytical, or related experience.
Experience with AI tools.
Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities.
Excellent cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

Support P&L forecasting, performance reporting, and variance analysis.
Analyze business drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities affecting EBITDA.
Develop and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for leadership and sales teams.
Track progress toward sales, margin, and operational targets.
Partner cross-functionally to align financial results with operational activity.
Assist with budgeting, reforecasting, and special projects, including M&A analytics.
Improve reporting processes and data quality through continuous improvement efforts.
Develop new reporting models and enhance legacy models.
Ad Hoc reporting and analysis as assigned.
