Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Performance Engineer for New Product Introduction. You will perform propulsion cycle analysis, create engine models using NPSS, and train teams in engine performance thermodynamics and whole engine sensitivities.

Applicants should hold a degree in engineering, physics, or mathematics (Bachelor's, Master's or PhD) and be eligible for security clearance. Relocation assistance is offered for this hybrid role with roughly three days on site weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience in thermodynamics, gas dynamics, fluid mechanics and/or engine design.
• Proficiency in Python, Matlab, Visual Basic and/or C++ for engine analysis.
• Knowledge of robust design techniques and cycle modeling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform propulsion cycle analysis and performance predictions with engine models.
• Model engines using NPSS and related tools.
• Train others in Engine Performance Thermodynamics, Test Analysis, and Whole Engine Sensitivities.
