Job summary

Kansas Health System's Sports Medicine and Performance Center seeks a PRN Corrective Exercise Specialist to maintain and grow a sports medicine fitness program, provide training and education, and market services to prospective clients. The role involves coordinating with physical therapists, athletic trainers, registered dietitians, and physicians as needed.

You will ensure a clean, safe workout environment and deliver high-quality customer service in line with system policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum high school education; a bachelor's in exercise science is preferred.
Experience in sports medicine or fitness programs is advantageous.
Ability to market and grow fitness services within a health system.

Responsibilities

Maintain and grow a sports medicine fitness program and market it to build a strong client base.
Provide personal training, group fitness instruction and education, and prescribe workout programs based on client needs.
Refer clients to health system fitness/medical professionals when appropriate.
Ensure workout areas are clean, safe and organized and that equipment is maintained in safe working order.
Instruct correct fitness methods and lifting techniques to minimize injury risks.
