Job summary

Riverbed in Tampa, FL is seeking a Performance Consultant with an active TS/SCI clearance to design, deploy, and optimize WAN optimization solutions for enterprise and federal environments.

You will lead end-to-end consulting engagements, serve as a technical SME in networking and application performance, and document high- and low-level designs. Travel up to 50% and collaborate with diverse teams to maximize ROI.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required for federal customers.
• Deep expertise in WAN optimization and network performance technologies.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, protocols, architecture).
• Experience in technical consulting, professional services, or network engineering.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in complex IT environments.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with network analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, snmpwalk).
• Broad understanding of IT infrastructure and multi‑tier architectures.

In this high-impact, TS/SCI-cleared consulting role, you'll lead the design, deployment, and optimization of advanced WAN optimization solutions, helping customers improve network performance, application delivery, and operational resilience across complex enterprise environments.

What you will do

• Deploy and implement WAN optimization solutionsacross customer environments, including tactical platforms
• Lead end-to-end consulting engagements, including planning, design, implementation, and project closure
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME)in networking, WAN optimization, and application performance
• Assess customer environments and drive solution adoptionto maximize ROI and business value
• Design and architect solutionsfor data center consolidation, migration, and performance optimization
• Develop technical documentation and deliverables, including HLDs, LLDs, and compliance-related materials
• Troubleshoot complex performance issuesand produce detailed analysis and reporting (e.g., dependency mapping)
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing strategic guidance on performance management and best practices

What makes you an ideal candidate

• Active TS/SCI clearance(required for working with Federal customers)
• Deep expertise in WAN optimization and/or network performance technologies
• Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, protocols, and network architecture
• Experience in technical consulting, professional services, or network engineering roles
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsin complex IT environments
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Hands-on experience with network analysis tools(e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump, snmpwalk)
• Broad understanding of IT infrastructure and application architectures, including multi-tier environments
