We crafted this application to allow you to show off your unique personality and complementary skills that will make you a great fit for what we’re doing. So without further ado, let’s get this thing started…

STEP 1

To help us learn about you, you’re going to film 3 short (less than 3-minutes) video of yourself answering the following questions.

• My Story: What’s your story in 3-minutes or less?
• Training Project: Describe a specific project or issue you’ve been working to tackle in the Pitching Development/Training Space. Walk us through your thought process and any insights you’ve gathered. In other words: Take us down your most recent rabbit hole and summarize your findings.
• Industry-wide Issue: What’s the number one problem you see in baseball and how would you plan to solve it?

This video can be filmed however you would like. The only requirement (other than answering the questions above) is to have your face in the video.

When you’re done, hold onto the videos. You’re going to submit them along with everything else at the very end.

STEP 2

Mechanical Breakdown

As a Tread Performance Coach, what separates you from the rest of the industry is your ability to solve athletes’ problems and communicate the solutions clearly and concisely, helping them improve faster than ever before.

To help us understand your ability to do this, the second part of your application is to submit a video of you breaking down a current Tread Athlete.

You will have the opportunity to choose one (1) ofthese athletes , Bryce, Karter, or Andrew, to be the subject of your breakdown.

The video you submit should meet the following criteria:

• You will usethese videos (separated by athlete) to complete your breakdown.
• Your submitted video is no longer than 6 minutes.
• The submitted video will contain the athletes video and includes–at a minimum–you doing a voiceover.
• Within the breakdown, you identified the 3 most pressing issue(s) in their delivery.
• For all issues mentioned, you’ve given 1 specific drill, adjustments, or cue you would give this athlete to help fix those.
• Note: Please complete this breakdown as if you are talking to the athlete, not to the hiring team at Tread.

It is highly recommended that you review the athlete’s movement assessment to help showcase your ability to connect the dots between findings in the screen and movement deficiencies in the pitching delivery.

Effective breakdowns will combine technical knowledge with the intangible “feel” that makes coaches great. Have fun!

Once you’re done with the breakdown, hold onto the video and proceed to Step 3.

Take the video files you created in Steps 1 & 2 and upload them to YouTube as Unlisted videos. You’ll paste the unlisted links as answers to the corresponding questions in the Google Form.

And, don’t forget to click ‘Submit’!
