Performance Coach - Change Lives Everyday

Join our team at Brain Balance of Wexford in a job that lets you work with kids and spend your day doing life changing work. As a Performance Coach, you will help kids who struggle with social, emotional and behavioral challenges. This position requires a motivated and passionate individual who will guide and assist children through various sensory and motor activities which stimulate the brain.

At Brain Balance, we pick up where conventional approaches leave off, by addressing the root cause and going beyond the treatment of symptoms. Our holistic programming incorporates learnings from cognitive, behavioral and nutrition fields—an integrated approach that is literally redefining what’s possible. Responsibilities
  • Work with kids (4-18 years old) with social, emotional, academic and behavioral struggles and/or with formal diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, Asperger’s, ODD, Dyslexia, Learning and Processing Disorders.
  • Work part‑time hours Monday, Wednesday, Friday between the times of 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
  • Gain training and skills to support a career in behavior analysis, behavioral health, teaching, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, counseling, kinesthesiology, mental health, and parenting.
  • Create lasting, positive change for children and their families.
Qualifications
  • A genuine desire to help children and their families achieve goals.
  • A steady supply of empathy, compassion, enthusiasm, patience, kindness, and reliability.
  • Strong curiosity and a desire to learn about why children struggle.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 (on or before the first day of employment).
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule.
  • The ability to pass a background check, criminal check, and child abuse clearance.
  • Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License.
  • Available to work evenings.
  • Have experience working with children, whether as a babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, camp counselor, or some other form of childcare.
  • Studied, majored, or minored in psychology, education, special education, child care, behavioral health, health science, or a related field.
