Job summary

Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Office of Inspector General is seeking an Auditor (Management Review Specialist) in Tallahassee. The role conducts performance audits to evaluate compliance, efficiency, and the effectiveness of department operations, controls, and policies.

You will coordinate audits, develop scopes and methodologies, analyze evidence, and prepare findings with actionable recommendations to improve accountability and processes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AICPA GAAS, GAO standards and IIA Professional Practices Framework.
• Knowledge of information technology and operational auditing best practices.
• Skills in word processing, spreadsheets, graphic presentation software, and data query languages.
• Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to analyze problems using sound reasoning and identify alternative solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and make clear oral presentations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct performance audits evaluating compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness of department operations.
• Coordinate audits and special projects with audit teams.
• Develop audit scopes and methodologies for reviews.
• Analyze evidence and prepare findings and recommendations.
• Promote accountability and process improvement within OneFDOT.
• Collaborate with learning and development through the agency LMS.
