Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) seeks a Performance Architect in Embedded Processor Architecture, Engineering & Solutions to lead performance analysis of workloads on AMD x86 processors.

You will engage with customers and internal teams, driving plans, timelines and technical directions. The role requires strong communication, travel as needed, and a passion for optimizing complex systems across AI, data centers, and embedded markets.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in processor micro-architecture definition and performance modeling.
• Hands-on experience in computer/GPU architecture, cache hierarchies, interconnects and accelerators.
• Experience with Linux performance tools (Perf, uProf, Vtune).
• Proficiency in C and scripting (Shell, Python).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop in-depth knowledge of AMD x86 architecture and performance tools.
• Set up and analyze target workloads across networking, security, storage, edge, and embedded segments.
• Characterize workload performance and develop optimized recipes to differentiate AMD solutions.
• Collaborate with customers, partners and internal teams as a technical expert.
