Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and organization within the lab, preparing reagents and materials, and assisting with additional tasks as assigned. This position offers hands-on experience in a research setting and opportunities to develop practical laboratory skills under the guidance of experienced researchers. Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position Candidates pursuing BS degree in biology, biochemistry, or genetics preferred. Previous laboratory experience is a plus, but not necessary. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Work well independently and in groups. Attention to detail is critical, despite repetitious tasks. Good organizational and interpersonal skills are essential Physical Demands This position is laboratory based. Sit or stand at the bench for extended periods. This position may occasionally lift boxes up to 40 pounds. Is this a Position of Trust?
