Job summary

Waymo is seeking a software engineer to join the Perception team in Mountain View. In this role, you will develop and improve the Waymo Driver’s perception capabilities with a focus on safety and reliability across various driving conditions.

The ideal candidate has experience in industrial AI applications and a strong foundation in C++. A flexible hybrid work arrangement is offered, along with a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in industrial AI applications.
• Experience in developing and evaluating large ML software systems.
• Strong coding skills with C++.

Responsibilities

• Deepen understanding of the Waymo Driver's perception stack.
• Set perception development direction for scaling technology.
• Architect automation frameworks for performance evaluation.
• Innovate simulation tools for sensor emulation.
• Support the sign-off process for sensing system development.
