Medium is seeking a Sensor Systems Engineer to enhance our autonomous robotic systems. This role involves designing and validating sensor systems for wheeled robots, ensuring accurate data delivery under various conditions. The ideal candidate will have a blend of education in related fields and hands-on sensor experience. This position offers a salary range of $70,000 to $300,000 per year and is fully onsite in our Irvine, CA office, promoting collaboration in person.

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in relevant field preferred.
• Hands-on experience with LiDAR, depth cameras, IMUs, GPS.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate optical sensors for robotic platforms.
• Evaluate sensor performance in real-world conditions.
• Work with vendors for sensor procurement and QA.
