Job summary

Overland AI, based in Seattle, WA, is seeking machine learning experts to advance off-road autonomy. You will design, prototype, and deploy ML algorithms for perception, state estimation, and behavior planning using Python, with cross-disciplinary collaboration across the stack.

Applicants should hold an MS/PhD with ML publications or equivalent industry experience, plus strong math, Python, and DL framework skills.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD with publications in ML/CV venues or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent knowledge of linear algebra, probability, and optimization.
• Strong Python and deep learning frameworks expertise.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.
• Experience in a small-team, ownership-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and deploy ML algorithms for perception and behavior planning (Python).
• Identify metrics affecting vehicle behavior and improve system performance.
• Serve as a technical expert balancing short-term deliverables and long-term direction.
• Collaborate across disciplines to enhance reliability and performance of the stack.
