Qualifications

• Wound care experience or certification preferred.
• Experience with ostomy care and wound healing.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and hand hygiene protocols.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and manage complex, stressful cases with minimal supervision.
• Complete wound consult sheets and coordinate care within 48 hours of order.
• Perform wound care and ostomy consultations; prioritize urgent cases.
• Promote efficient and cost-effective use of dressings and supplies.
• Collaborate with infection control to reduce nosocomial skin breakdown.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers on wound care techniques.
• Ensure continuity of care for inpatients requiring outpatient wound care.
• Support weekend rotation and participate in outpatient wound care operations.
