Job summary

WoundGen, a healthcare service provider, seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner with wound care interest to join our clinical team in a per-diem capacity. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support healing and wellness.

You will perform wound assessments, debridement, and care planning, while documenting encounters in the EMR and educating patients. We value compassion, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in IN (preferred IL as well).
• Clinical experience in wound care or related area; training available.
• Strong skills in debridement and care planning.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical exams and wound assessments for patients.
• Evaluate wound-related conditions and comorbidities to support healing.
• Perform wound debridement and dressing changes per best practices.
• Develop individualized care plans with Medical Director and care team.
• Document encounters, procedures, and communications in the EMR within 24 hours.
• Educate patients and caregivers on wound care and prevention.
• Communicate with primary care providers and specialists.
• Maintain efficient workflows with clinical staff and leadership.
• Participate in meetings, training, and quality improvement.
