The Division of Hospital Medicine (DHM) of the Mount Sinai Health System, NY, is recruiting part-time hospitalists to care for patients admitted to the Medicine Service at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, Mount Sinai St. Lukes, Mount Sinai West, and Mount Sinai Queens hospitals. Opportunities include weekend coverage of patients admitted to the Department of Medicine. Our hospitalists are integrally involved in enhancing the quality of care and patient safety throughout the hospital. Part-time faculty can participate in and lead clinical, educational, and research efforts within the Department and Medical School. Responsibilities

  • Complete daily Rotations
  • Accept care of critical patients from outside Emergency Personnel
  • Diagnose patients and develop treatment plans
  • Order diagnostic tests
  • Accurately document care provided
  • Share care responsibilities and coverage with other team members
  • Collaborate with multi-specialty practice colleagues as an integral part of a health system

Qualifications

Compensation range from 18K to 80K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
