Job summary

College Medical Center Long Beach is looking for a Per Diem MRI Tech to support imaging services. The schedule will vary between NOC and Day shifts depending on hospital need and availability.

The role involves performing high quality MRI procedures, MRI safety, patient prep/education, and adherence to imaging workflows. ARRT MRI or ARMRIT license is preferred, with hospital MRI experience valued.

Qualifications

• ARRT MRI or ARMRIT license preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited MRI program preferred.
• Two years MRI experience preferred.
• Two years’ experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
• Pay range placement based on experience; shift differential may apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality MRI procedures proficiently.
• Proficient in MRI safety.
• Instructs, educates, and prepares patient for exam.
• Knowledge of patient preps for various MRI procedures.
• Proficient in filming and workstation protocols.
• Demonstrates knowledge of IV contrast injection protocols and possible reactions.
• Assesses patient before, during and after procedure.

College Medical Center Long Beach is looking for a Per Diem MRI Tech in our imaging services department. The schedule will be varied between NOC Shift and Day Shift depending on the need of the hospital and availability of shifts.

Job Description:

• Performs high quality MRI procedures proficiently.

• Proficient is MRI safety.

• Instructs, educates, and prepares patient for exam.

• Knowledge of patient preps for various MRI procedures.

• Proficient in filming and workstation protocols.

• Demonstrates knowledge of IV contrast injection protocols, and possible reactions that may occur.

• Assesses patient before, during and after procedure

• Exhibits behavior that is courteous, compassionate, polite, friendly, and respectful towards patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers and extends self to make patients, visitors, clinical staff, and peers feel welcome and respected.

• Other duties as assigned

• Graduate of an accredited MRI program preferred.

• Two years MRI experience preferred.

• Two years’ experience in an acute care hospital preferred.

• Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for College Medical Center roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that College Medical Center in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
