Job summary

Desert Valley Medical Group in Victorville, CA is seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team on a per diem basis. This is a hospital-owned, multi-specialty group that supports urgent care services and offers flexible scheduling with up to 15 shifts per month and 12-hour shifts.

Open to new graduates and experienced NPs alike. Ideal candidates hold a California NP license, board certification in Urgent Care, BLS/ACLS, and have inpatient or high-acuity clinical experience;

Qualifications

• Current California NP license.
• Board certification as an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pulmonary medicine, critical care, hospital medicine, or another inpatient specialty preferred or more than 5 years high acuity critical care nursing experience.
• Applicants with less than two years of relevant NP experience are eligible for our Transition-to-Practice Program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Ability to effectively manage medically complex patients.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
