Job summary

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a Per Diem Ultrasound Tech to support our Charlotte county and southern Sarasota county offices. This PRN role offers flexible hours and competitive pay in a patient-focused environment.

The ideal candidate holds necessary certifications and licenses, can handle a high-volume setting, and will maintain complete exam histories, QC records, and accreditation forms while using PACS, eRad, Athena Clinicals and Communicator.

Qualifications

• Must hold all certifications and licenses related to scope of practice.
• Ability to handle high volume, fast-paced environment with a pleasant disposition.
• Proficient in computer software and documentation for exams.
• Read and respond to communications from the manager in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with SOPs and routines.
• Obtain complete patient history and informed consent per policy.
• Maintain quality control records, accreditation forms and daily logs.
• Communicate findings with radiologist and document results.
• Ensure safety protocols for patients and equipment.
• Optimize use of supplies, equipment and services while controlling costs.
• Assist co-workers and participate in staff meetings and training.
