Job summary

The Sage School in Foxborough, MA is seeking caring, flexible Per Diem Assistant Teachers to support our Early Childhood Program for children ages 21 months to 4 years. This per diem role may grow into more consistent or full-time work based on performance and program needs.

Responsibilities include supporting lead teachers with play-based curriculum, assisting with routines, and helping maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment while fostering children's social and emotional skills.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with lead teachers and staff.
• Patience and energy for working with toddlers and preschoolers.
• Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers with age-appropriate, play-based curriculum.
• Assist with classroom routines and transitions in a warm, structured manner.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Support children's social and emotional development, curiosity, and independence.
• Assist with health and safety routines, including diapering and mealtimes.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure continuity of care for students.
