Job summary

The Beacon City School District seeks candidates who are NYS Certified and/or who are currently enrolled as an Education Major to provide instruction in all subject areas to the District’s High School and Middle School on a per diem basis for the 2026-2027 school year.

Applicants must be proficient with virtual platforms and willing to support students across subject areas, with daily substitutes and competitive daily rates as posted.

Overview

The Beacon City School District seeks candidates who are NYS Certified and/or who are currently enrolled as an Education Major in an accredited College or University to provide instruction in all subject areas to the District’s High School and Middle School on a per diem basis for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must have the knowledge and ability to use various virtual platforms as needed in relation to the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in all subject areas to the District’s High School and Middle School on a per diem basis for the 2026-2027 school year.

Compensation

• Non-certified substitutes: $90/day
• NYS certified substitutes: $115/day
• Retired Beacon Teachers’ Association substitutes: $125/day
