Rochester Regional Health's Newark Wayne Community Hospital in Newark, NY is seeking a Speech Pathologist for per diem coverage. The role focuses on evaluation, treatment of language, swallowing, and communication disorders, including dysphagia, with weekend rotation.

You will collaborate with the rehab team, document progress, and assist in discharge planning. Requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology and NY licensure or CFY for recent grads; experience with frail elderly is preferred.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required.
• New York State licensure OR completion of CFY (for recent grads) required.
• Some weekend availability is required.

• Evaluation & planning: perform initial evaluation; develop and implement treatment plans with goals; involve patient, family, and staff; re-evaluate progress; promote independence.
• Documentation: maintain complete documentation of evaluations, treatment, progress, and discharge status.
• Collaboration: participate in rehab team, counsel and educate patient/family, coordinate with MDs, assist in discharge planning.
