Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Ability to work at various locations and shifts per diem.
• Ability to organize multiple tasks and maintain control of workflow.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
• SLP - Licensed Speech Language Pathologist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
• Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations of the speech language and swallowing function to detect disorders.
• Evaluates cognition, language and reading comprehension; assesses voice and articulation.
• Supports communication with physician oversight of speech pathology programs.
• Documents and bills according to departmental policies.
• Improves intelligibility using AAC or other devices when needed.
• Reviews quality and effectiveness of speech-language pathology services.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Delivers evidence-based patient care appropriate to age and needs.
• Plans rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communication abilities.
• Assists physicians with dietary level decisions for dysphagia.
