Job summary

Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (Per Diem) to join our team in the Mid-Hudson Valley facility. The SLP will evaluate, set goals, treat, and document care in our EMR, while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork with staff, patients, and families.

Applicants must graduate from an accredited SLP program and hold a current NYS license in good standing; prior hospital or skilled nursing facility experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current NYS license in good standing as an SLP.
• 1 year of experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competence in Speech Language Pathology evaluation, goal setting, treatment, and EMR documentation.
• Chart appropriately and timely.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information.
• Maintain an excellent working relationship with facility staff.
• Create and maintain a warm, patient-centered environment throughout the facility.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Provide dependable, regular per diem coverage.
