Job summary

Rochester Regional Health seeks a Per Diem Sonographer to perform vascular, abdominal, OB/GYN, and transcranial Doppler exams with emphasis on high-quality imaging and patient care. You will obtain measurements, follow procedure standards, and support radiologists with accurate reporting.

The role requires a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate or Bachelor's in Ultrasound, with RDMS certification expected within specified timelines. Prior ED/Radiology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have direct patient care experience in imaging.
• RDMS certification within required timeframes.
• Proven ability to document exams accurately.

Responsibilities

• Performs abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN, and/or transcranial Doppler ultrasound scans.
• Produces images and measurements per standards and reports preliminary findings.
• Reviews chart history, orders and clinical appropriateness.
• Documents exam in patient record and communicates with physicians.
• Assists with invasive procedures under sonographic guidance.
• Maintains room readiness and participates in meetings.
