Job summary

Region 4 Schools is seeking responsible, dependable, and safety-conscious individuals to serve as Per Diem School Van Drivers. This position provides transportation for students to and from school, specialized programs, and other approved educational activities on an as-needed basis.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with children and demonstrate patience, professionalism, and a strong commitment to student safety.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with at least three years of clean record.
• A "V" endorsement must be obtained and maintained throughout employment.
• Must obtain a R-360 bus safety training certificate.
• Must be trained in CPR and First Aid, and maintain a valid CPR and First Aid certificate.
• Must be subject to a criminal history check, fingerprinting and DCF Central Registry check.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to and from school, and to/from programs and approved activities.
• Maintain student safety and conduct while transporting passengers.
• Follow district transportation policies and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with school staff and administrators as needed.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
