Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean record.
• A 'V' endorsement must be obtained and maintained.
• Public Passenger Endorsement | CT.gov required.
• Must obtain a R-360 bus safety training certificate.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be trained in CPR and First Aid, and maintain certification.
• Must be subject to a criminal history check, finger printing and DCF Central Registry check.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to and from school, specialized programs and activities on an as-needed basis.
• Provide safe, reliable transportation on assigned routes.
• Maintain student safety and behavior while en route.

The District is seeking responsible, dependable, and safety-conscious individuals to serve as Per Diem School Van Drivers. This position provides transportation for students to and from school, specialized programs, and other approved educational activities on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with children and demonstrate patience, professionalism, and a strong commitment to student safety.

Schedule

• Per diem/as-needed position
• Flexible hours based on district transportation needs.
• Morning, afternoon, and occasional midday routes may be available.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with at least a three-year clean record. A "V" endorsement must be obtained and maintained throughout employment.

• Must obtain a R-360 bus safety training certificate.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be trained in CPR and First Aid, and maintain a valid CPR and First Aid certificate throughout employment.
