Job summary

Danvers Public Schools seeks a Substitute School Nurse to cover daily or longer-term absences across Danvers, MA. The nurse will administer routine medical care, dispense medications, and maintain health-room logs while the building nurse is away.

Responsibilities

• Substitute nurses may be assigned daily or in advance, for longer-term or scheduled substitutions.
• All applicants must pass CORI and fingerprint background checks as per Massachusetts state law.
• All applicants must provide copies of their current, valid nursing licenses.
• Fulfills school nurse responsibilities during the building nurse's absence.
• Administer routine medical care, dispense medication, and provide first aid treatment to students.
• Notify parents of illness and accidents, which occur during school hours and fill out appropriate accidents form.
• Keep daily log of students seen in health room.
