Job summary

Kittitas Valley Healthcare (KVH) in Ellensburg, WA seeks a Registered Nurse for Surgical Outpatient Services on a per diem, part-time basis. The RN will assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, coordinating with the medical team to ensure safe discharge planning and education for patients and families.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, WA licensure, BLS, ACLS and PALS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and WA license.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers card.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• PALS within 6 months of hire.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
• Supervise care provided by professional and ancillary staff.
• Assess educational needs of patient and family for discharge planning.
• Coordinate with the medical team and interdisciplinary partners.
• May float to other departments as patient needs dictate.

Education

Graduate of accredited nursing program

WA state RN license

BLS for Healthcare Providers

ACLS within 6 months of hire

PALS within 6 months of hire

BSN (preferred)
