Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking an experienced PCU RN for hospital-based patient care in acute-care environments. The role emphasizes patient assessment, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, have 2+ years PCU experience in the past 4 years, current BLS/ACLS, and a recent QuantiFERON-TB test. Vaccination or exemption is required. Flexible scheduling and local staffing support are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Virginia) is required per posting.
• Minimum 2 years PCU experience within the last 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role: PCU Registered Nurse (RN) in a hospital setting, providing high-quality patient care in acute-care environments.

Responsibilities Include

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and patient status changes
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and care teams
• Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
• Following infection-control and patient safety protocols
• Educating patients and families about care and discharge plans
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments

Qualifications And Skills

• Active Virginia RN license
• At least 2 years of recent PCU experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
• Additional credentials as required by facilities
