Under the direction of the Clinical Director of the Patient Flow Command Center and Patient Flow leadership, the Per Diem RN is responsible for coordinating and supporting timely patient throughput for elective and urgent admissions, interfacility transfers, and direct admissions across all three UCLA Health campuses. Responsibilities include clinical review, coordination, and processing of transfer requests from outside hospitals, as well as collaboration with referring and accepting physicians, executive leadership, Nursing Supervisors, Patient Experience, and hospital support services to facilitate safe and efficient patient placement.
The Per Diem RN will develop expertise in the UCLA CareConnect EPIC EHR bed management system and work collaboratively with nursing leadership, management, and multidisciplinary teams to support a systematic approach to patient flow and bed management that promotes operational efficiency and a positive patient experience.
The incumbent must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, professionalism, adaptability, and commitment to organizational goals related to patient throughput, patient safety, access to care, and quality outcomes.*This position has the potential to convert to Career*Salary: $96.74 - $96.74 Hourly
