Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking an experienced OR nurse to float across units, providing scrub and circulating care for surgical patients. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care and support ongoing research and education within UCLA Health.

The role requires a California RN license and a BSN/MSN, with OR experience and BLS. CNOR, ACLS, and PALS are valued for advancement within a premier health system in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license is required.
• BSN or MSN degree is required.
• 3 years OR RN experience in Operating Room or 2 years in UCLA Health OR experience is required.
• BLS from ARC or AHA is required.
• Able to circulate and scrub OR cases including ophthalmology.
• ACLS preferred
• PALS preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop interventions.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, organization and delegation skills.
• Knowledge of medical/surgical terminology and EHR charting.
• Transcript/diploma must be provided upon hire.

This position floats to various units within the UCLA Health system based on the patient census and the skills of the RN/staff. Hospital locations include but are not limited to the following:

• UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center
• UCLA West Valley Medical Center

Salary range: $116.66-$116.66 Hourly

Qualifications

We're seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:

• Current California RN license, required
• BSN or MSN degree, required
• 3 years of Operating Room RN experience or 2 years of UCLA Health Operating Room RN experience, required
• Travel or extensive OR RN experience in an acute hospital setting, preferred
• BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required
• Able to circulate and scrub OR cases including ophthalmology, required
• ACLS from the American Heart Association, preferred
• PALS from the American Heart Association, preferred
• CNOR certification, preferred
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop/deliver appropriate interventions, involving patients, family and staff
• Exceptional communication, prioritization, organization and designating skills
• Thorough understanding of medical/surgical terminology
• Knowledge of EHR charting
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively with others, providing compassionate and cutting-edge patient care while also contributing to the positive and collaborative team environment at UCLA Health is a must
• Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire
