Job summary

Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, CT is seeking an RN Nursing Supervisor on a per diem basis to lead shift operations and ensure high-quality resident care. Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will supervise staff, manage patient needs, and collaborate with physicians and families while upholding standards and participating in ongoing education and mandatory training.

Qualifications

Education: BSN in nursing or healthcare-related field preferred.
Experience: 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Licenses: Registration and current RN license in CT; CPR certification.
Key competencies: Ability to assess and prioritize resident needs, strong communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Maintains departmental policies to ensure standards of nursing practice are met.
Upholds nursing program during off shift via personnel allocation and supervision.
Provide care based on resident needs and interact with staff, physicians, patients and families.
Communicate effectively through verbal reports and written documentation; attend admin meetings.
Participate in educational programs, mandatory in-service training, and meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
