Job summary

The Alice Center in Malone, NY is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical and operational leadership within the Assisted Living Program. This per diem leadership role offers flexibility for an experienced nurse.

The successful candidate will oversee safe resident care, develop care plans, supervise nursing staff, monitor staffing and documentation, and collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with NYS

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license in good standing.
• Strong clinical nursing experience; supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Assisted living, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support the delivery of safe, person-centered nursing care.
• Ensure residents are assessed and care plans are developed, implemented, and evaluated.
• Provide clinical guidance and supervision to nursing staff.
• Monitor staffing, assignments, resident care, documentation, and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with New York State regulations, nursing standards, and organizational policies.
• Address clinical concerns and changes in resident condition using sound nursing judgment.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, quality improvement, and excellent resident outcomes.
• Serve as a nursing leadership resource when senior leadership is unavailable.
